What Size Do I Need?
Boxing gloves are measured in ounces. The 8 and 10oz gloves are ideal for professional bouts or bag/pad work. The 12oz gloves are also good for bag/pad work. The extra weight in a 12oz glove will help to build stamina and punching power. Whilst the 14 and 16oz are designed for free sparring.
How Do I Take Care Of My Gloves?
After ever bout you should make sure that you air and dry your gloves out. This is important because even though the gloves are made of skintex if you continue to put damp gloves in your gym bag then they will start to smell.
What Else Should I Consider?
Apart from taking into consideration the training environment in which you are going to use the gloves you should also consider hand wraps. Whilst Windy Boxing Gloves are a very supportive glove in terms of hand and wrist protection a pair of hand wraps will give you that extra bit of protection and support.
